A New Hampshire man has been convicted of second-degree murder in the death of Harmony Montgomery, who police believe was killed in 2019.
“She was excited to be a mom,” her cousin told a local TV news affiliate.
An officer responding to a burglary call at Jaden Battista’s home said he saw Trevor Weigel chase her down and stab her repeatedly in her neck and chest.

Raad Almansoori, 26, has been linked to attacks in other states, police say.
The child has not yet been charged and police have not identified either individual by name.
The new charges come after two juveniles were detained last week on gun-related and resisting arrest charges.
Police have also alleged that Estes Carter Thompson III, 37, had recordings of four other minor female passengers using airplane lavatories.
"My distorted version of reality went largely unchecked as I would isolate from anyone who challenged me."
The 31-year-old defendant’s lawyer admitted he had “committed an unfathomable crime” near Germany's Neuschwanstein Castle last year.
