Yes, you are absolutely correct.

nmon is indeed short for Nigel’s Monitor and was originally developed by Nigel Griffiths in his personal time. While IBM did later adopt it as an official tool, the primary development and maintenance remained with Nigel Griffiths, who also added Linux support.

That is incorrect. nmon is “Nigel’s Monnitor” (typo?) and was developed by Nigel Griffiths in his personal time. IBM did later accept it as an official tool but it was still solely developed and maintained by Nigel who all added Linux support.
